Masumi Hayashi

Masumi Hayashi is a photographer that I have selected to do because her use of photo collages. She photographs American Concentration camps from World War II. Her work comes with interviews of people that survived the American Internment camps and she also collects found objects from the internment camps as well as from the people she interviews to make photo albums and collages. She teaches photography at Cleveland State University and has done as for over 22 years. She has been published in many magazines and journals and has also exhibited internationally including Europe and Asia. I chose to look at her work because the process that she uses can be said that it is similar to mine. I really like how she composites her work and the great colors that come from her work as well.
